Peterborough Rowing Club athletes traditionally compete at various local and national regattas/events throughout the year.

This year St Catherines is hosting the 2024 World Rowing Championships from August 18th to 25th which has impacted the regatta schedule in Ontario for the season. Please check dates carefully and be aware that the Royal Canadian Henley is one week earlier than usual.

South Niagara Invitational (Jr only) Saturday May 18th and Sunday May 19th- Welland ON, South Course

Canadian Secondary School Regatta Association (Jr only by Coach invite) May 31, 2024 - June 2nd 2024 St. Catharines, ON - Martindale Waterways

Ontario Masters Festival (Masters only) June 15 & 16 – Racing (RowOn Masters Champs) on Saturday, followed by on-water and dryland training camp on Sunday, with social opportunities Saturday evening and Sunday. Welland ON - North Course

Canada Day Regatta (everyone) Monday July 1st, 2024 Toronto, ON - Allan A. Lamport Regatta Course, Toronto Island

Central Ontario Regatta Association (CORA) (Jr, U23 and Club rowers) July 13, 2024 - St. Catharines, ON - Martindale Waterways

Regatta expectations and requirements

  • We are ONE club - regardless of the level of ability, age, gender, or experience - we are PRC rowers and coaches. Please connect and work together on and off the water!

  • To race in any regatta, entries, boats, and assigned rowers must be discussed with and approved by Head Coach. All entries are completed by the PRC Registrar.

  • All rowers must have a PRC uniform

  • All rowers are responsible for transportation to and from regattas as well as their own accommodations.

  • Junior rowers: Junior Coaches will inform you and your parents of the races you are entered in. The PRC Junior Parent Coordinators will book accommodations and help coordinate travel carpools - but as athletes, YOU are responsible for staying on top of communication and plans for regattas. 

  • When loading and unloading, rigging and de-rigging - ALL ATHLETES & COACHES are expected to help.

  • When at a regatta, you represent PRC and yourself and are expected to be supportive and respectful of all rowers, coaches, and clubs.

  • Regatta Central houses all information regarding regattas - it is the responsibility of the rowers and coaches to be informed of the details of regattas they are attending: https://www.regattacentral.com/
