OVERVIEW
At PRC we believe rowing offers good health, good people and a chance for all to reach their full potential.  We are committed to delivering inclusive and engaging rowing programs for youth aged 12-18 years old, from novice to high performance.  introductory programs such as the Trent Excalibur Camp and the Junior Rowing School provide participants with the basics of rowing in a fun, engaging and safe environment.  The Athlete Development Program sets a standard for junior development where athletes excel at the art of rowing at a high level while developing valuable relationship, leadership and team-building skills.

REGISTER ONLINE WITH TRENT EXCALIBUR CAMP 

DESCRIPTION

A fun environment to expose youth to rowing and build basic rowing skills.  Hosted by the  Trent Excalibur Camp, this all day sports camp is instructed by varsity rowers and qualified camp staff.  Mornings are at the rowing club, and the afternoon is filled with camp activities at the Trent Athletics Centre.  Before and after program care available

DESCRIPTION

This program is open to all level of abilities.  It emphasizes the FUNdamentals - early boat skills are best developed through fun activities and technical instruction.  A high coach-to-athlete ratio allows us to focus on each individual to develop basic boat handling skills, water sense and physical fitness. Instruction is geared towards learning how to row small boats. Inclusive of all abilities.

DESCRIPTION

The U15 program emphasizes the FUNdamentals of rowing technique and teamwork, while developing aerobic fitness, strength and flexibility. You do not need previous rowing experience, just a  desire to learn and train.  U15 athletes are introduced to racing at local regattas.  A great cross training option for various other sports

DESCRIPTION

U17 athletes train in a competitive and supportive environment which emphasizes aerobic capacity, flexibility and components of strength, while continuing to develop rowing skills.  Athletes develop racing skills by competing in local regattas and can work toward competing at some provincial/national regattas. Novices are welcome.

DESCRIPTION

An appropriate program for experienced U19 athletes who are committed to the volume and intensity of training to compete at major regattas (ie. Royal Canadian Henley).  Enjoy training hard in a supportive team environment.
