OVERVIEW
At PRC we believe rowing promotes health, personal development and a chance for anyone to fulfill their full potential.  We are committed to delivering inclusive and engaging rowing programs for youth aged 14-18 years old, from beginners to high performance athletes.The Junior Athlete Development program provides participants with the basics of rowing in a fun, engaging and safe environment.  This program introduces Juniors to our club's athlete development pathways to prepare them for eventual competition higher levels in the sport of rowing. Through these programs Juniors also build valuable relationship, leadership and team-building skills that they will carry forward to their everyday lives.

Athletes born 2005 - 2003*

*there is some flexibility to accommodate athletes who are early or late developers

SCHEDULE TBD but this group with train separately from the competitive crews for dedicated coaching opportunities

3- 4 SESSIONS PER WEEK

$400*

*Athletes who registered with a High School Spring Program (Adam Scott CVI, St. Peter CSS, or Thomas A. Stewart SS) are eligible for a $100  discount toward summer program costs.

DESCRIPTION

The Junior Development program emphasizes the FUNdamentals of rowing technique and teamwork, while developing aerobic fitness, strength and flexibility.  A great option to build fitness for other sports during the summer months. Athletes will train in a supportive environment which emphasizes building aerobic capacity, flexibility and components of strength, while continuing to develop rowing skills.  Some athletes MAY have an opportunity develop racing skills by competing in local regattas but regatta fees are NOT included in the program cost

No previous rowing experience is necessary, just a  desire to learn and train.

Junior competitive PROGRAM

5:30 am - 7:30am MON - FRI
7 - 9am // SAT (Time Trials)

6 SESSIONS PER WEEK

$650" includes regattas in schedule

DESCRIPTION

An appropriate program for experienced athletes who are committed to the volume and intensity of training to compete at major regattas (ie. Royal Canadian Henley).  Enjoy training hard in a supportive team environment.  Previous rowing experience is recommended, but individuals looking to for an entry pathway into this sport will be considered.

PROGRAM DATES

June 10 - Oct 4

There is a break in this program after the Royal Canadian Henley but athletes may also compete in fall head races.
